Asbestos Abatement
Earth Services & Abatement played a key role in getting 135,000 sq ft of this large Lennox facility ready to rebuild and get back up to full production.
About the Lennox Tornado-Damaged Industrial Complex
In 2018, an EF-3 tornado touched down in Marshalltown, IA that nearly flattened the large manufacturing plant, leaving 135,000 sq ft of the facility damaged. Earth Services & Abatement was called upon to remove Asbestos Contaminated Materials (ACM) to begin the monumental task of clearing the debris and beginning to rebuild the plant.
The plant remained running 24-hours a day throughout our demolition process. The damaged areas of the facility were separated by hand, as to not cause additional damage to the plant or interfere with daily operations. Once separated, the building was demolished and transported as ACM was properly packaged and disposed of. Over 2.5 tons of asbestos was safely loaded and transported to the local landfill. Once the demolition was complete, the building pad was pressure washed and the water was filtered, leaving the site ready for reconstruction.
