Lead Abatement

Lead Abatement

Licensed Lead Abatement Contractors

The EIS Family of Companies safely performs full-service lead removal and abatement services in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Our vast experience, licenses and certifications, and multiple locations across the country give us the unique ability to service a variety of markets, from educational facilities to transportation infrastructure, historical buildings, manufacturing facilities, and beyond.

LEAD ABATEMENT & REMOVAL

With decades of experience, we provide full lead removal and abatement services to handle nearly any type of structure requiring abatement. Our team will thoroughly assess the project site and determine the best methodologies for the lead abatement. Processes may include scraping, stripping, or blasting lead-based paint with HEPA vacuum shrouds.

DUST DECONTAMINATION

ENCAPSULATION

Encapsulation of the lead-contaminated structure or area is another option for addressing lead contamination. This process covers and seals the affected area with a specific lead barrier compound which serves as an effective barrier and prevents lead dust particles from being released into the air.

CONTAINMENT

Sealing the work area prior to lead abatement activities is vital. We ensure that the contaminated area and work zone are completely sealed off from the rest of the building so that no dust can escape. Once containment is fully set up, we proceed with lead abatement and disposal.

COMPONENT REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT

Component removal of lead-based items is to be handled with care and caution.  Our teams are experienced in component removal and replacement for items such as windows, doors, siding, pipes, and many other types of lead-contaminated materials.

DISPOSAL

After lead abatement or removal, we ensure that all removed lead-contaminated material is properly disposed of in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Safely removing lead-based paints and coatings with minimal disruption.

Our lead abatement process involves multiple steps, starting with inspections, project assessment, and crafting a paint removal plan based on your needs.

Our teams are fully trained in the latest lead removal techniques, and strictly follow current government guidelines and regulations. With extensive certifications and safety training, our team’s professional approach to lead abatement ensures lead paint is completely and permanently eliminated.

Air Duct Cleaning

AIR DUCT CLEANING

CERTIFIED COMMERCIAL AIR DUCT CLEANING CONTRACTORS

The EIS Family of Companies are certified air duct cleaning and decontamination contractors dedicated to improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for our customers.

We perform our work based on the most up-to-date practices issued by the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) providing safe, compliant, and thorough cleaning of the most important indoor air quality component of a structure.

INSPECTIONS

Our multi-point air duct system inspection will help determine the type of cleaning required and any special equipment or tools needed for the cleaning process. The inspection can also help identify current and potential air quality issues within the unit such as defects and perforations that may be contributing to low air quality.

CLEANING

After inspection, our licensed and certified technicians will thoroughly clean the air duct system. Regular cleaning of air ducts can help prevent premature wear and tear on HVAC components, extending the lifespan of the equipment and reducing the need for costly repairs or replacements. Depending on the protocol, specifications, or hazard, the work area or duct system may be placed under negative pressure during cleaning.

Additional equipment that may be used include HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers (with HEPA filters), rotary brush cleaning systems, air whip cleaning systems, coil degreasers, and anti-microbial cleaners.

QUALITY CHECK

We ensure your commercial air duct system is properly cleaned to NADCA standards. After the cleaning process, our team will do a thorough quality check to ensure your unit is thoroughly cleaned and functioning properly. Depending upon the type of building we are servicing, we also offer duct cleaning air testing / air monitoring to show our engineering controls were effective and not impacting occupants in the area.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Required certifications and licenses for air duct inspections and cleaning vary from state to state. Our Family of Companies is well-versed in NADCA standards and many hold the Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification in addition to the NADCA certification.

Our team is also properly licensed as HVAC/R contractors in states that require a license.

Why Is Duct Cleaning Important?

Duct cleaning is a strategic operation that removes mold, allergens, debris, and potential contamination from building duct systems. It is essential for maintaining a healthy, safe, and efficient indoor environment in commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential settings. By investing in regular cleaning and maintenance, businesses can reap the benefits of improved air quality, energy efficiency, and overall operational performance.

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos Abatement Experts

At EIS, we consider each asbestos abatement project unique, requiring attention to every detail. From a full-scale building demolition to a new school gym floor, EIS delivers exceptional asbestos abatement solutions to move your project forward.

ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

Asbestos abatement is the process in which asbestos is completely removed from the site. Our team takes several protective measures to ensure the environment outside of the workspace is free of asbestos fibers released during removal. Disposal of all hazardous materials is completed properly and in compliance with state and federal regulations.

ASBESTOS ENCAPSULATION

Asbestos encapsulation is the process in which the asbestos-containing material (ACM) is coated or covered with a protective material to prevent asbestos fibers from releasing into the air.  Our team carefully considers when and where this process should be applied to ensure we deliver our clients a safe and clean environment.

NEGATIVE PRESSURE CONTAINMENT

Negative pressure containment is crucial during the asbestos abatement process. A negative pressure air system is used to keep asbestos fibers contained within the project site. By maintaining lower air pressure within the containment area compared to the surrounding areas, any disturbed asbestos fibers are drawn into the contained space rather than escaping into the air.

SCAFFOLDING AND TEMPORARY WORK PLATFORMS

Our teams are highly experienced at handling delicate and large-scale asbestos abatement projects. We provide the necessary equipment to access various work levels within buildings or confined spaces. Our ability to scale to a client’s needs, from utilizing special equipment to providing on-site security, ensures that we will complete the job efficiently, effectively, and safely.

What is Asbestos?

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring fibrous minerals. Known for its thermal and durability properties, asbestos was commonly used up until the mid-1970s. Still today, asbestos can be found in various yet common everyday materials and can drastically impact the air quality of the surrounding space.

What are Asbestos-Containing Materials?

  • Ceiling Tiles
  • Flooring Tiles
  • Roof Shingles
  • Exterior Siding
  • Cement Products
  • Caulking
  • Drywall & Joint Compound
  • Heat-Resistant Fabrics
  • Acoustic Materials
