Under a second consecutive 4-year, state wide TxDOT asbestos and lead paint abatement contract for bridges, 1 Priority Environmental Services’  is performing the removal of asbestos concrete coatings and lead based paint from two major connector bridges between IH 45 and Hwy 175 immediately south of downtown Dallas.  This work is in advance of a major highway improvement of these freeways and adjacent on and off ramps.

The abatement work must be performed in a timely manner, primarily to keep the overall road work on schedule,it must not restrict traffic flow, and it must keep the traveling public safe, as well as the abatement crews safe.

About the IH 45 Bridge 205 & 206

Abatement of both lead paint and asbestos coatings work is required to be performed at night. 1 Priority is also providing the traffic control and the access equipment to perform this tightly scheduled work, which must be done without impeding the work of the nearby road contactors.
